The Online Round is considered a separate First Round location. The top half of singers from the Online Round will be advanced to the live Second Round of the Competition in Chicago May 25-26 at the Westin O'Hare Hotel.

With your free Classical Singer & Auditions Plus subscription you can login to AuditionsPlus.com and create your Singer Profile(Use your same Classical Singer username and password to login.)
Within your Singer Profile you can embed 2 media files (either two video, two audio, or one of each) from YouTube, Facebook, Sound Cloud or other online video or audio services. Title your selections as Competition Selection #1 and Competition Selection #2. All audio or video files must be embedded and saved to your Auditions Plus Singer Profile by April 15, 2012.
Receive Feedback
Two university judges will view your Singer Profile between April 15 - 22. They will review your selections and then provide written feedback for each selection.
Singers will be notified of their results and comments by April 25.
Advance to Next Round
Results of the Online Round will be posted on the 2012 Winners page by April 30. The top half from each division (High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate) will advance to the Second Round in Chicago (May 25 for the University divisions and May 26 for the High School division). Winners will compete in the Second Round against singers from all First Round locations.

Judging will be conducted by voice faculty from music schools throughout the country, as well as private voice teachers.
Singers should have contrasting selections (art songs or arias), preferably one in a language other than English, at a level appropriate to your vocal development.
One of the selections may be a musical theater selection. Please keep in mind that the emphasis of this competition is classical singing. Choose repertoire appropriately.
Selections must be performed with piano accompaniment only. No other accompanying instruments are allowed.
