Select Your Division

    • HIGH SCHOOL
      • For singers between the ages of 14 and 18 as of May 24, 2012.

    • UNDERGRADUATE
      • For singers between the ages of 18 and 25 as of May 24, 2012, with no undergraduate degree as of September 1, 2011.

    • GRADUATE
      • For singers under the age of 32 as of May 22, 2012, with an undergraduate degree who are currently enrolled in master's degree program, plan to enroll in a master's degree program, or have completed a master's degree program within two years.

Choose Your Location

    • First Round (View Locations)
      • October 29 - May 25
      • Choose any First Round location—more than 40 university sites.
      • Top half of participants advance to the Second Round.
        • The Undergraduate and Graduate Division Second Round will be held on Friday, May 25.
        • The High School Division Second Round will be held on Saturday, May 26.
      • Perform at least 1 song selection in front of university faculty.
      • Receive immediate written feedback from the judges.
      • Accompanist provided at no extra cost; singers can bring their own if desired.

        • Includes a free 3-month Classical Singer & Auditions Plus Web Subscription
        • Create a Singer Profile on Auditions Plus.
        • Upload/embed 2 video selections on your profile.
        • Receive written feedback from two university faculty.
        • Deadline April 1.
        • Winners announced April 20.
        • Top half of participants advance to the Second Round in Chicago.
          • The Undergraduate and Graduate Division Second Round will be held on Friday, May 25.
          • The High School Division Second Round will be held on Saturday, May 26

    • Second, Seminfal & Final Rounds
      • Chicago, May 24-27 (Westin O'Hare Hotel)
      • Second Round May 25-26
        • The Undergraduate and Graduate Division Second Round will be held on Friday, May 25.
        • The High School Division Second Round will be held on Saturday, May 26.
      • Semifinal Round for all division will be held Sunday morning, May 27.
      • Final Round Concert for all divisions will be held Sunday evening, May 27.
      • Singers receive written feedback from judges after each round.
      • $6,000 in cash prizes, $2.1 million in university scholarships, multiple summer program scholarships, and other awards.
